Artist in Residence: Bryant Holsenbeck, Environmental Artist "Found Object Sculptures"
The students at Powell collected their own "stuff," (items our society uses once and throws away - bottle caps, cut-up credit cards, pencils, wire etc..) and out of it, created a work of art , "found object sculptures." Our students took it one step further and also created robots that help the environment. This activity helped support the theme of our "One Book, One School" book this year, The Great Kapok Tree.
